The Justice Ministry has declared musician Boris Grebenshchikov, Paper and Sota.Vision publications, Moscow City Duma deputy Mikhail Timonov, journalists Andrei Karaulov and Alexei Gorpinchenko, deputy chairman of the Moscow branch of the Yabloko party Andrei Morev, former chief rabbi of the capital. Philip Goldschmidt and an autonomous non-profit educational institution as foreign agents organization “Moscow Anglo-American School”.
The department explained the decision by the fact that Grebenshchikov disseminated “inaccurate information about the decisions made by the public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies”, and also opposed the SVO.
The Bumaga publication, in addition to disseminating unreliable information about the decisions of the authorities, published materials from foreign agents.
The Moscow Anglo-American School promoted LGBT relations, which is contrary to “state policy to preserve and strengthen traditional Russian moral and spiritual values”. In addition, its founder is a foreign legal entity. The current collegiate body is also made up of foreign citizens.
Previously, Roskomnadzor restricted access to the website of the non-profit organization Greenpeace International. The blockade followed the recognition of Greenpeace as an undesirable organization in Russia: the General Prosecutor’s Office made the corresponding decision on May 19.
