At the same time, more than 2,000 criminal cases were initiated under the articles on organization of illegal migration, illegal trafficking in narcotics and psychotropic substances, illegal arms trafficking and illegal crossing of the state border.
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of the Interior, Irina Volk, specified that in total, during the operation, the police, together with colleagues from the Russian FSB, revealed some 45,000 violations of immigration laws. Including – more than 33 thousand violations of the rules of entry, exit, transit and stay of foreign citizens in the territory of our country.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, more than 12,000 violations of the procedure for carrying out work activities by foreigners were registered, and 273 citizens were identified who were on the federal and international wanted list.
