The director of the play “Late Love” Yuri Eremin was about to submit a letter of resignation, but managed to pay another scandal.
A couple of years ago, the People’s Artist Viktor Sukhorukov left the Mossovet Theater with a scandal. He did not work well with the new artistic director, Evgeny Marchelli. In a bitter conflict with the current artistic director, another popular favorite is Alexander Domogarov, who celebrated his sixtieth birthday not on the stage of the Moscow City Hall, but at the Theater of the Russian Army. There are still dissatisfied artists in the company, though not of the same caliber as Sukhorukov and Domogarov. With some of them, the management of the theater did not renew the contract.
And here is the news of the last few days: People’s Artist of the RSFSR, director Yuri Eremin, leaves the troupe. He is a student of the former artistic director, the legendary director Pavel Chomsky. Eremin has been serving at the Mossovet Theater for more than 20 years, he has many performances to his credit, including successful ones.

As we were told, Eremin had a conflict with the theater administration at the time of the release of his new performance based on Ostrovsky “Late Love”, in which Ekaterina Guseva, Olga Ostroumova are involved … Something went wrong. Eremin fired up, threatened to request resignation. They told her: if she wants to apply, please.
Now it is not clear whether the performance “Late Love” announced for release will be released at all. There was noise on the web. After that, the management of the theater went with Eremin to the world. It was decided to hush up the scandal. “KP” called Yuri Ivanovich to find out what was agreed.
– Do not worry, there is no more topic of discussion. There was a small internal problem, – said the 79-year-old director. – What will happen with “Late Love”? My new performance is unlikely to be staged. As they explained to me, the theater has no money for stage design. But you understand me… I don’t need a scandal. Many of my performances are in the repertoire of the Mossovet Theater… Therefore, there is probably no point in discussing other topics.
