According to the project manager, Eduard Davydov, the reliability of the structure was checked with twelve loaded dump trucks.
“The maximum load of equipment simultaneously on the bridge was 420 tons,” explained Eduard Davydov.
On the basis of the test report, the facility will receive a passport confirming its compliance with the project and the possibility of commissioning. The governor of the Amur region, Vasily Orlov, announced that traffic across the bridge will soon be restored.
– This is the main road installation that we are going to put into operation this year. According to the plan, it should not be finished until November 2024, the head of the region said. The total length of the new crossing will be 10.3 kilometers, including the bridge part – 1.9 kilometers. This is expected to lighten the existing bridge over the Zeya by 40 to 60 percent.
