Like the last time, in 2018, the inauguration of the mayor of Moscow took place in Zaryadye Park. At first, this place was a symbol of the capital’s radical renewal, but over the past five years the park has become a standard for quality improvement. According to tradition, Vladimir Putin personally came to congratulate Sergei Sobyanin on his re-election.
– More than 75% of voters voted for you. Such a high level of trust convincingly demonstrates the broad support of Muscovites, their approval of his initiatives, plans and, most importantly, and above all, the results of his work,” praised the President.
On City Day, Vladimir Putin already gave his assessment of Moscow’s development here, but the holiday is a good reason to repeat his kind words.
– Moscow is strengthening its position as a powerful scientific and industrial center of Russia. The industries of the future are actively developing, including robotics, instrument manufacturing and the production of new materials,” Vladimir Vladimirovich noted.

The head of the country especially referred to the successes of the capital’s transportation. In terms of public transport and convenience of life, Moscow has become one of the best cities in the world.
The president did not forget to mention the renovation program.
“The next five years will be a time of active promotion of the renovation program in Moscow, and this will also mean a new and better quality of life for people, comfortable and modern houses, streets and squares,” the Russian leader said.
At the end of his speech, Putin thanked the city for its support of the new territories. At first, Moscow helped Crimea and Sevastopol. It has now taken over sponsorship of Donetsk and Lugansk.
“Dear Sergei Semyonovich, dear colleagues, I would like to sincerely thank you for this noble and necessary work,” Putin said.
