We are talking about police sergeant, traffic police inspector Habib Aliyev. He was 24 years old.
“The employee did not enter through the door opened by the man and did not accept his offer to take refuge in the house,” RIA Novosti quotes Garieva. She explained that Aliyev feared provoking the wrath of militants against a peaceful citizen.
The last thing the deceased police officer said was: “No, they’re going to kill me anyway, but you go into the house, close yourself and hide!”
Recall that on Sunday in Derbent and Makhachkala armed militants attacked two Orthodox churches, two synagogues and a traffic police post. A regime of anti-terrorist operations was immediately introduced in the republic that lasted until the morning. According to the latest data, 20 people were killed and 46 injured.
The militants who carried out the attacks in Makhachkala and Derbent are followers of an international terrorist organization. Five of them were liquidated.
Following the attacks, the Commission of Inquiry opened criminal cases for terrorism.
