The PP does not give up and its Deputy Secretary for Culture and campaign spokesman Borja Semper has insisted on appealing to the PSOE to support the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, since we must talk about “the needs of the Spanish” and stop looking “the navel of politicians”, despite acknowledging that he is being “inexperienced”. In an interview in RNE, collected by Europa Press, semper has defended that in a situation like the current one, in which the image of Spain abroad is also at stake, what would be desirable would be for “the two big parties to overcome our legitimate interests partisan groups and we agreed on a transversal transforming agenda” to face future challenges.
In this sense, he has reaffirmed his call to socialist deputies to support the investiture of Feijóo, which has been extended to the entire party and “to the rest of the political formations that have a State vocation.” “It seems to me the best of the possible options in a scenario like the current one, that there be more grandeur and less partisan politics,” he insisted, acknowledging that it is “complicated” given the will manifested by the PSOE and that it may be ” rookie”.
