The star of the Harry Potter franchise, Evanna Lynch, will star in the dark comedy Influenced. She was inspired by Oscar Wilde’s classic novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. This was reported by Variety.
The actress will play a clerk at a cosmetics store named Dora. She dreams of becoming an influencer. According to the plot, the more ruthless a fame-seeking girl becomes, the more distorted the photos of her on social media become. The film will be directed and written by Nick Wilde. Filming will take place in the UK and Italy in 2024. The project will be produced by Johnny Chen and Lamia Nyeb-St.Hilar.
“Nick wrote a hilarious script that vividly illustrates the slow mental and moral degradation suffered by a person who loses the line between reality and a filtered imagined life,” said Lynch.
The actress added that “Influenced!” will tell “a story about an everyday trap that none of us seem to be able to escape.” The actress called the plot of the picture “gloomy, interesting and sinister.”
