According to the press service of the regional government, the meeting took place during the visit of the head of the region to Shakhtersk, Uglegorsk district. Valery Limarenko presented Elena Levakova with a letter of gratitude for the worthy upbringing of her son, memorable gifts and offered help in solving personal problems.
“Alexander is a true hero, a patriot of our homeland. Russia relies on such people. With bated breath, we watch the actions of the crew of the Alyosha tank. Without a doubt, this feat will forever remain on the pages of our history. His “Family is an example for all of us. Thank you,” said the governor.
Alexander Levakov was born in 1978 in the village of Boshnyakovo. He spent military service, then served under the contract. Last year he was recruited to the NVO zone as part of a partial mobilization.
“When I saw the video, I was also worried about my son. And he says that he was just doing his job. According to him, the enemies thought that there were a lot of them, and our guys had only one tank,” Elena Levakova shared.
Recall that during one of the battles in the Zaporozhye direction, a Russian tank single-handedly stopped a column of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, consisting of two tanks and six MRAP M1224 MaxxPro armored personnel carriers. Later it became known that the two heroes of the tank “Alyosha” were residents of the Far East – Yakutians Philip Evseev and Alexei Neustroev.
Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented military personnel for the title of Hero of Russia.
