The trailer for the psychological thriller Octopus has been released. The film starred Maria Mironova, Sabina Akhmedova, Anfisa Chernykh and Natalya Rudova. All the heroines find themselves on an experimental group date with a fashionable psychotherapist conducted by Daniil Vorobyov.
The tape took part in the program of the XXXI Vyborg Russian Film Festival, where it received rave reviews from the audience. In addition, at the XXI “Espíritu de Fuego” International Premiere Festival, the project won the Work in Progress program and was awarded as “Spectator’s Film in Perspective”.
The film was directed by Alexei Stepanov. According to the plot, one of the best family psychologists in the country unexpectedly decides to conduct a free experimental course using the method of psychodrama. The doctor assembles four women at his house, each of whom comes with her own difficult life situation. However, in the process of work it becomes clear that the specialist himself needs help most of all.
“It was very important for us to understand if the film turned out well, if it would impact the audience, if it would stick to the end. Therefore, we decided to show it at the Vyborg festival, mainly to ordinary viewers. And his reaction turned out to be the clearest litmus test. The room was 120 percent full, we even had to deliver booster chairs, and tickets for them were instantly sold out as well. During the screening, no one left, and everyone actively reacted to the film: they laughed and worried together with the characters, and at the end they gave us thunderous applause and did not let go for a long time, ”says Alexei Stepanov, director. of the project.
Recall that earlier the annual Russian festival “Window to Europe”, which has been held in the city of Vyborg since 1993, has changed its name. In the social networks of the magazine, the event is now called “Vyborg”.
