Last night, Apple held its annual keynote presentation, where it unveiled the new iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods and other gadgets. We’ve rounded up everything that the company led by CEO Tim Cook showed off, and we’ll tell you the most interesting things.
The new Apple Watch model is the thinnest in the company’s history. The watch case has been more gently rounded at the corners and the screen has become much larger, brighter and does not lose color reproduction at an angle. The device charges up to 80% in just 30 minutes. Users can now listen to podcasts, music, monitor their health more closely and wear the watch underwater at a depth of up to 50 meters. Available colors are black, pink and silver.
The company has also modified a separate line – watches with titanium cases, which come in black, gold and natural titanium. Their back panel is made of metal and will pleasantly cool your hand, while the straps are made of aluminum. The bezels have also become much thinner, the speakers have become more powerful, and special sensors can monitor the regularity of lung ventilation (apnea) during sleep.
The most durable and capable Apple Watch Ultra yet, ready for sports, also gets updates. The new device has built-in GPS and corresponding training programs — for running, swimming, hiking, surfing, cycling and more. The watch comes in a black and natural titanium case with a band of the same material.
The fourth-generation headphones were released in two versions: with and without active noise reduction. The model provides better sound quality thanks to the new arrangement of the speakers. The headphones also have the ability to reject Siri requests by shaking their heads during the dialogue. There is also a transparency mode that allows you to hear the sounds around you without removing the device. AirPods and AirPods Max now support Type-C connector and wireless charging. Another innovation is the hearing tests on the Linney Pro devices. After a 5-minute test, the headphones will adapt the sound based on the results.
Finally, the latest iPhone model came in five colors: pink, ultramarine, blue and, according to the classics, black and white. The phone is equipped with a touch-sensitive action button, which controls the shooting modes. The powerful A18 processor (30% faster than the A16 chip) supports Apple Intelligence – its capabilities were appreciated at the WWDC 24 conference. Of course, the company also updated the smartphone’s camera: the ultra-wide mode received autofocus, high aperture and a macro option. Especially for gamers, the developers improved the heat dissipation of the processor and at the same time announced several mobile games.
The line received increased screen diagonals: for example, the basic model came out with 6.3 inches, and the extended model – 6.9 inches. The phone is also equipped with a button to activate the camera and switch shooting modes. The company has assured that the device will shoot twice as fast in ProRAW mode, which captures the maximum amount of detail. The iPhone 16 Pro has also learned the slow-motion video mode in 4K resolution at up to 120 frames per second. An excellent proof of this was The Weeknd’s “Dancing In The Flames” video, filmed entirely on the latest Apple device.
