The “winged infantry” was congratulated by the head of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov.
“The brigade is rightfully recognized as one of the best military formations of the Russian Airborne Forces. And today the guys are showing it with heroism and full dedication on the battlefields. It was gratifying to see our soldiers take part in a special military operation arriving to vacation in their homeland today in the ranks!” – said Tsydenov.
“I will say – the best!” – said the mayor of Ulan-Ude Igor Shutenkov about the Buryat landing brigade. He said thousands of local residents went through the “severe school of air assault.” And the names of all the heroes remain in history.
“One of the streets in the left part of the city was named in memory of senior sergeant Amgalan Tudupov. In honor of our guys, alleys with custom trees were planted in city squares and parks,” Shutenkov recalled.
The holiday was also celebrated in other regions of the Far East. The Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako came to personally congratulate the paratroopers of the 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Forces.
“We met many fighters in the special military operations zone, they are extremely brave and courageous people, true patriots.
In the capital of the region, the day of the Airborne Forces was celebrated with a traditional motorized rally. A column of dozens of cars drove from Russky Island to Victory Square in Vladivostok.

And in Chita, rallies were held in the park of the Officers’ House and at the monument to “Fellow Citizens-Transbaikalians who died in the line of military and official duty in local wars and conflicts.”
“Airborne troops are an unsurpassed model for military units, personnel, reflecting the unique military spirit, traditions of our state with you.
