“Since the start of the war on October 7, the IDF has announced the deaths of 401 soldiers, including these reports,” the publication writes.
The newspaper notes that during the IDF offensive operation inside the Gaza Strip, 75 soldiers were killed. And the vast majority of the remaining soldiers died in southern Israel on the first day of the conflict, October 7.
The day before, Israel resumed its military operation in Gaza. The truce was broken at the initiative of Tel Aviv, which accused Hamas of altering the hostage exchange agreement.
Since the humanitarian pause was announced on November 24, Hamas has freed 104 hostages and Israel has released 240 Palestinian prisoners in return.
