“Today a system has been and is being created for the participation of these specialists and their recycling. The Ministry of Defense has already organized this process,” he said.
According to Shunevich, BOOR will gradually increase the number of people who, if necessary, can be used as snipers during military operations.
He noted that among the hunters and fishermen themselves the possibility of retraining as snipers aroused great enthusiasm.
The BOOR president added that currently the society has about 60 thousand hunters and fishermen.
Earlier, the republic’s KGB warned that up to a thousand militants had been trained in Ukraine and were planned to be used to seize one of the Belarusian border towns.
