TTK, Belorussky and Leningradka station: the most urgent places in Moscow are named

Date: July 27, 2024 Time: 05:25:06

The most dangerous areas since the beginning of the year in Moscow are the Third Transport Ring (TTK), Belorussky station and Leningradskoe highway. Accidents also frequently occurred in Central Chertanovo and Lyublino. These results were published by Tinkoff Insurance, which, together with the social project “Road Assistance” and the analytical project Tinkoff Data, analyzed the statistics of motorists’ requests. Experts have identified the most dangerous places in Moscow in terms of traffic accidents and have found out which car models are most often involved in accidents.

Among the five most dangerous places in the capital are roads and densely populated areas. Due to the large flow of traffic there, the risk of accidents increases. Most accidents occurred during rush hours: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The study was carried out using anonymous data from several tens of thousands of calls to the Roadside Assistance project, within the framework of which mobile groups help drivers free of charge and around the clock in case of emergency on the roads in Moscow and the region, as well as Tinkoff Insurance and the Helpline Support Service.

The most dangerous month in the capital was February. This was shown by the analysis of losses under CASCO and OSAGO. Most likely, the large amount of snow on the roads affected it. This February in the capital turned out to be very snowy.

The top 3 most “emergency” models involved in accidents are headed by Kia Rio (3.2%). This is partly explained by the fact that since 2022, the car market has seen an increase in demand for Korean cars. Also in the top three are Mitsubishi Outlander (2.6%) and Toyota Rav4 (2.5%). At the same time, cars of the Hyundai Palisade, Kia Carnival and Mercedes-Benz GLK class were less likely to get into accidents – 0.2% of the total volume of requests from motorists.
