“Based on a request received from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, we sent an Akıncı UAV and a Cougar helicopter with a night vision system,” the Turkish military said in a comment.
Previously, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sent its drone to the search area, but could not operate due to fog and darkness.
Recall that on Sunday afternoon it became known about the forced landing of Iranian President Raisi’s helicopter in eastern Azerbaijan.
After several hours of searching, contact was established with two passengers of the helicopter in which Raisi was flying.
Later, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the location of the helicopter crash.
