The grand opening of the forum is always a celebration, attended by senior officials from the region.
“TNF is today probably one of the leading industrial platforms in the country. We all understand that we live in a period of great changes, affecting not only the energy sector, but also changes in the structure of the economy of all states. At this time, the search for new solutions and partners for building long-term relationships is in full swing. Our forum, which has a rich history, is simply the platform for discussing fundamental issues and finding solutions,” greeted the guests and the Governor of the Tyumen region Alexander Moor.
The head of the region stressed that this year the delegations of Ugra and Yamal performed especially well at the TNF, which demonstrates the strengthening of territorial ties, and added that representatives of Belarus, Kazakhstan, trade partners from Central Asian countries and the Arab world are always present. Since the organizers decided to dedicate the first day of the forum to young people, adults entrusted the right to raise the flag of the event to schoolchildren. This honorable mission was carried out by students of physics and mathematics classes Daria Skipina, Denis Aminov and Anastasia Borisova – talented and promising young people.
Deputy Governor Andrei Panteleev gave a tour of the EXPO for the guests of honour. One of the participants of the exhibition, SIBUR, a strategic partner of the West Siberian region, organized a separate pavilion dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Tyumen petrochemical industry and the 190th anniversary of Dmitry Mendeleev. Elena Belskaya, a representative of the company, said that this pavilion will be of interest to both children and adults: here you can see the scientist’s book legacy, compiled together with specialists from the Moscow Polytechnic University, and articles about the social programs of the petrochemical giant.
AGGRECO-Eurasia is developing production facilities in Tyumen; here, for example, it has accumulated competence in repairing gas piston units with minimal use of foreign materials. “KENERA” is the developer of the first domestic top drive for a drilling rig.

“90 percent of the equipment is made of domestic components, which is a huge step forward, and only 10 percent is the help of foreign manufacturers. We went through all the stages of design, reverse engineering and material selection. The result is obvious! And there are many plans for the future, for example, we want to master the entire line of top drives with a lifting capacity of less than 200 to 250 tons and implement the production of robotic drilling equipment, for which we count on the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Energy and the regional government,” said representatives of the company.
The Tyumen Mobile Building Plant demonstrated a modular administrative and residential complex. This is a pilot project implemented together with the Association of Oil and Gas Clusters at a field in Eastern Siberia. Compared to transport cities, such structures reduce the construction area by a quarter, increase their environmental friendliness and reduce the cost of engineering preparation. The modules are delivered in maximum readiness and are quickly installed during the construction period of permanent buildings.
Today, eight promising domestic companies are represented at the stand of the oil and gas cluster, which are successfully implementing the roadmap for onshore drilling and production equipment. According to the association’s general director, Alexander Sakevich, there are cryogenic valves with electric drive (which will be used in future liquefied natural gas projects), chemical compounds for producing carbon-based drilling fluids, a vibrating source of seismic signals, and a radial drilling system. A leader of the SibBurMash group brought a unique coupling to the forum. Sergei Larichev, a representative of the company, explained that the new product allows for the formation of drainage channels around the well of the required length and geometry, moreover, in places clearly marked by specialists.
“We can configure the geometry of the channels without touching unwanted areas with water or gas. This is in great demand!” – noted the expert.
At the EXPO there is literally no place for a stone to fall: stands, presentations of technologies, from serious equipment to software, meetings and signing of partnership intentions.

Let us add that if the first day of the TNF is about youth (Alexander Moor recalled that young professionals are the most adaptable, creative and, most importantly, focused on achieving the best results, and the region is interested in them staying in their small homeland to live, work, raise families and contribute to economic development). For the next few days, on the sidelines of the forum, sessions on technology, digital and strategy are planned.
“They say that a plan is nothing, planning is everything. I think that in times of uncertainty it is very important to develop strategies, and it is best to do so in a broad circle of professionals, industry specialists, federal experts, and with the participation of the regions,” the governor concluded.
