Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo has teamed up with American artist and designer Brian Donnelly, aka Kaws, to launch a capsule collection. The release is timed to coincide with the release of Brian’s new book, published by Phaidon. Highsnobiety writes about it.
The drop includes unisex t-shirts and sweatshirts with Kaws prints. In addition to clothing, it will be possible to purchase an artist’s book in stores. A shoulder bag is included with the purchase.
“I am delighted to exclusively present my new book in the Phaidon Contemporary Artists series with Uniqlo, my long-time partner. To celebrate this occasion, I have designed a small capsule collection of t-shirts and hoodies that will be released in a limited edition,” said Brian Donnelly.
The collection will be available in stores and on the Uniqlo website on September 7.
Recall that previously Uniqlo and the Louvre teamed up for the UT Grand Prix (UTGP) t-shirt design contest. This year it will be held under the motto “Discoveries made at the Louvre”.
