The bill in question was introduced to the State Duma in May by deputies from all factions. The decision on the operation in this case will have to be made by the medical commission of the federal state health institution.
Among other things, the bill prohibits registry offices from making corrections to the corresponding column of documents.
On June 14, the bill was unanimously approved by the State Duma at first reading.
