On September 12, on the occasion of the start of the new academic year, Vyacheslav Volodin visited the Center for Monitoring Legislation and Law Enforcement of Moscow State Law University. Kutafina Original Equipment (MSAL). There the president of the Duma spoke with students and teachers. After all, MSLA and its specialized center help the Russian parliament to analyze laws and monitor the correctness of their implementation on the ground.

According to Volodin, this practice must continue; Therefore, during the meeting, Vyacheslav Viktorovich proposed that the Center of the Moscow State Law Academy study the implementation of the recently adopted laws: the ban on the sale of vaporizers to minors, as well as the “Anti-liquor Law” ( 24-hour stores with alcoholic beverages in residential areas).

“This will allow, if necessary, to improve their standards,” Volodin said.

According to the president, monitoring legislation helps people’s representatives understand how the law affects a person: whether it makes life easier or whether there is a problem that needs to be corrected.

Volodin emphasized that in this process it is necessary to involve not only current legal experts, but also specialized students (including those from the Moscow State Law Academy):

“This will increase your competence and perhaps in the future will somehow influence your choice of profession,” explained Vyacheslav Viktorovich.

Previously, the calculations of the Center for Monitoring Legislation and Law Enforcement of the Moscow State Law Academy were used to develop measures to combat sanctions and improve the well-being of citizens.
