This disappearance seems sensational at this moment, when the “offensive” promised by kyiv should begin at any moment. The fact is that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny has not appeared in the media for a month. And his disappearance became especially notorious when he was supposed to speak via video link at a NATO conference on May 9 with a report on the preparation of that very “offensive”. But the performance was canceled at the request of the Ukrainian side. In the media, in social networks of Ukraine, Russia and other countries of the world, a variety of versions are expressed: what about the general, where did the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny disappear? Is he alive at all? Could Zelensky have had an influence on this, given that it was the commander-in-chief who was called the main opponent and possible contender for the presidency?

We tried to analyze the most obvious versions of the disappearance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Where did the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny go?

Version one. Zaluzhny was killed in Pavlograd (Dnepropetrovsk region) during massive Russian missile and air strikes against manpower buildups, armored vehicles, trains with ammunition and fuel for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There was also the headquarters of a large group of Ukrainian troops, which could include Zaluzhny with other generals and senior Ukrainian and NATO officers, as well as “observers” from the office of the Ukrainian president. The death of one of them was reported in the official obituary. It cannot be ruled out that Zaluzhny is seriously injured or in shock and is being treated. Such versions are categorically denied by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar, arguing that Zaluzhny is alive and well and continues to work. And the reports about the death of the general are “an invention of Russian provocateurs.” But if this is so, why has the Commander-in-Chief not appeared on television for a long time and does not give interviews to journalists? Previously, he did not deny himself this, to put it mildly, gaining political points. And he is already beginning to be considered a number 2 figure in Ukraine, almost as a future replacement for Zelensky.

The disappearance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eve of the “offensive” is nonsense. This does not happen alone.

Here it should be remembered that, for example, when the Ukrainian media began to unanimously report on the death of the chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov in the NVO zone, Moscow TV channels immediately showed it at a meeting at the Ministry of Defense and the lie was instantly dispelled.

And Zaluzhny continues mysteriously silent.

Version two. Zaluzhny disappeared from sight because he radically disagreed with Zelensky on all points of the “offensive” plan: in terms of timing, directions of the main attack, composition of groups, etc. This long-standing dispute between the president and the commander-in-chief has been talked about more than once in kyiv social networks. Zaluzny was also very furious that the American and British military advisers, in developing the “offensive” plan, brushed aside his proposals and Zelensky agreed with his recommendations. Therefore, perhaps, Zaluzhny waved his hand and in order to free himself from all responsibility for a possible upcoming failure and “lay on the bottom”, he took a vacation or fell into the hospital “due to illness.”

Version three. Zaluzhny disappeared because he dared to boldly oppose the NATO defense ministers, refusing to brief them even in video conference mode and preparing for the “offensive”. Here, it cannot be ruled out, there were several reasons. The general could no longer bear the humiliation of the NATO military leaders, “lowering” him in the eyes of Zelensky with his recommendations on the “offensive” plan. And infringing on his professional pride. This is one. Two. In this way, Zaluzhny wanted to show the “kyiv bosses” his dissatisfaction with the volume of Western weapons supplies. He wants even more. And three NATO generals and politicians stubbornly push Zaluzhny from behind, demanding an immediate “offensive”. The commander-in-chief, apparently, understands that his army is not ready for this, and in order to avoid new morals, he left them.

Version four. Zaluzhny is alive, but after the attack on the headquarters in Pavlograd, he decided to be extremely careful not to be discovered by Russian intelligence in the new secret super bunker, the command post of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the combat area. . He therefore, he does not give “signs of life”.

Version five. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny, just started drinking, after a dispute with Zelensky because the Armed Forces of Ukraine were not ready for an offensive (and the president demands to attack immediately, as the Western masters expect ) and the talks about the imminent resignation of the “stubborn and mediocre general” in the office of the president of Ukraine became more frequent. But, it cannot be ruled out that the general did not drown his problems with moonshine, rather he decided to make a favorable arrangement in advance before the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine. And he has a high rating. All can be. Although the drunk version is so far the prettiest and most realistic: the commander-in-chief is working, you understand, with documents.
