According to Smith, he did not want to star in Men in Black, having recently finished working on the film Independence Day, which also featured aliens. As a result, Spielberg contacted the actor directly and sent a helicopter to New York so they could talk face to face.
“The helicopter landed at Spielberg’s house. It just took me by surprise. And by the way, this was the first time I drank lemonade with sparkling water. It is impossible to refuse this, ”the star joked.
