“The list (editor’s note) was completed with the Lada Largus, the Xcite X-Cross 7, as well as the Gazelle and Sobol models,” the ministry clarified.
Recall that at the Eastern Economic Forum, President Vladimir Putin said that Russian officials should use Russian cars. The Head of State called for following the example of India, where officials give preference to domestically produced vehicles.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade later published a list of cars recommended for priority use. The list includes Russian brands Lada, Moskvich, Aurus, Evolute, UAZ and others, as well as Chinese brands. The list is updated as new models are released.
