The Yandex Music team released My Wave “Summer” – it appeared as a result of a combination of human experience, where editors determined what the summer mood is in music, and the work of a personal recommendation system that analyzes what the listener likes it and forms an individual musical flow.
Editorial experts determined the general concept of music by analyzing the sound characteristics of the tracks that Yandex Music subscribers listen to in the summer, the summer hits of previous years and new releases this season, as well as the songs played by popular radio stations in the summer.
Based on these data, a system of personal recommendations worked, which analyzed the audio indicators of each track: genres, motifs, tempos. As a result, more than 3.5 million summer tracks were selected, which “My Wave” selects individually for each user, based on his mood and musical preferences.
On the occasion of the launch of My Wave Summer, Yandex Music updated the logo within the app and added a brand name to it in the form of an inflatable pink flamingo. The update has already appeared on devices with the iOS operating system and will soon appear on Android.
Earlier, Yandex Music announced a music program that will be held for the first time at Plus Dacha in St. Petersburg. The guests are waiting for new formats of performances of artists, created specifically for the northern capital. The summer musical program will take place on board the Cruise by Kuznyahouse, which offers an unforgettable view of the city.
