“Our new ballistic missile has successfully passed flight tests,” TASS quotes the Ukrainian politician’s speech at the defense industries forum in kyiv.
Recall that at the end of August Zelensky announced that Ukraine had supposedly tested the first self-produced ballistic missile. However, he did not reveal details for reasons of secrecy.
Later, an adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office, Mikhail Podolyak, said that the flight range of the new Ukrainian ballistic missile is 600 to 700 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the chief researcher of the Military Academy of Strategic Missile Forces, retired Lieutenant General Vasily Lata, believes that it is unlikely that Ukraine will be able to create medium- and short-range ground-based ballistic missiles. According to him, this potential has been lost in Ukraine.
