Both One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen are two anime that surprise their fans week after week with anime and manga, so much so that author Gege Akutami inspired one of his latest illustrations at some point in the series.
Below we see a very old moment from the One Piece manga: the introduction of Captain La Marina Smoker, who ruins a little girl’s ice cream when he bumps into her and, in compensation, gives her some coins to buy better. … albeit with a rather intimidating look.
Does this look familiar? That’s because a very similar moment happened in the currently streamed Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Toji Fushiguro also ran into a man, causing him to spill his bowl of ramen.
Well, the parallelism between the two scenes of One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen inspired Gege Akutami to make an illustration like in the manga that Eiichiro Oda drew years ago (of course, Smoker reacted much kinder to Megumi Fushiguro’s cold father).
