Dragon Ball Super: Akira Toriyama’s Manga Will Be Responsible For It | The Spaghetti Code

Date: September 13, 2024 Time: 21:00:41

The manga world was surprised by the passing of one of the greats, Akira Toriyama, not to mention that his passing coincided with the franchise’s 40th anniversary, but even though the creator is gone, it looks like the entire plot will continue hand in hand in the hands of someone they trust.

For months there was no word on what was going to happen to Dragon Ball or who would be in charge of the Dragon Ball Super sequel, and it looks like we finally have news that Toyotaro will be the new creator of the manga.

During a live broadcast from the official Dragon Ball website, the editor of the manga saga, Victory Uchida, stepped in and confirmed that Toyotaro would be taking on the role of the creator of Dragon Ball Super, as both he and the illustrator would be judging the winners of the contest.

This makes it clear that Toyotaro will be Akira Toriyama’s replacement to continue this story, which he was already directing, but was always under the supervision of his teacher, so now he will have complete freedom to do the same as him, or even more, or less.

“We’ll be taking a closer look at the 10 winners with Toyotaro, the current creator of Dragon Ball Super, so stay tuned!”

This is certainly the first news that clears up the mystery that has been going on for months about who will be in charge of this story, and well, it seems that it will be in good hands, we will just have to wait and see what the future holds for the franchise.

Although Toyotaro has been announced as the manager, the manga is still on hiatus as no details have been revealed about his possible return in chapter 104.
