The anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” is still on everyone’s lips, as it was classified as a high-class series that stood out for the story it told us and even the popularity it had, but it seems that, like any work, , there will always be references to others and this time is no exception.

Although the second season adapted all the twists that happened during the Shibuya Incident, there are episodes throughout the anime that are inspired by classic films and other cult anime, but here we will tell you what they are.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s links to other works

The first mention we come across is in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 when Miguel and Satoru Gojo fight, as these are moves we saw in the movie Ip Man and it’s a great classic performed by Donnie Yen.

The other takes place in the second season and features a confrontation between Megumi and Toji, both seen making moves that happened in the Matrix with Neo and one of the villains. Likewise, we find a big homage to Evangelion with the appearance of a robot similar to Mechamaru’s EVA 01, which even had fight scenes similar to those in Hideaki Anno’s anime.

The final battle between Mahito and Yuuji was also mentioned by none other than Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, in which both run head to head to meet and continue the fight. Meanwhile, Touji also performs some moves borrowed from Rurouni Kenshin as a swordsman while fighting his son.

The scene of the knife attack on Gojo is also a clear reference and homage to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, as well as the attack Yuuji makes while picking up a sign that fell in Shibuya.

Without a doubt, Jujutsu Kaisen had a lot of material to draw inspiration from and give us great battles in its anime adaptation. How many references could you notice?
