Doma has, without a doubt, earned the title of Upper Moon, the fandom’s most hated title. Unlike his peers, he does not experience the slightest shame, anger or sadness when remembering his childhood or his life before his demonic transformation.
In Chapter 142 of the Demon Slayer manga, Dom’s flashback occurs. His childhood, marked by luxury and family love, contrasts terribly with the darkness he finally embraces as a demon. For him, true blessing came with his metamorphosis into a creature of the night, revealing the depth of his depravity and absolute lack of empathy for others.

Since becoming a demon, Doma not only has a sadistic passion for battle, but also takes pleasure in humiliating his enemies. His twisted mind led him to create a cult, a haven for the exchange of ideas that he usually rejected. However, his true motivation in Kimetsu no Yaiba was much darker: to find vulnerable victims in order to deceive and consume even his most devoted followers. These actions have no connection to his past, but are a reflection of his deep evil and contempt for humanity.
It is a fact that Dom’s fearless and sadistic presence in the Infinity Dimensional Fortress arc raised the intensity and drama of Kimetsu no Yaiba to new heights. His ruthless actions and stunning techniques made him one of the most memorable villains in the series, providing some of the manga’s most shocking and exciting moments.
His figure represents the embodiment of pure evil, a soulless being who finds pleasure in the suffering of others. The darkness that resides in his heart contrasts horribly with the light that the Demon Hunters strive to protect, creating a gripping and suspenseful story.
