One of the most iconic characters in the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga is without a doubt Zenitsu Agatsuma. No matter how scary, loud, or love-struck he may be, the demon hunter’s favorite handsome guy has one of the most impressive abilities in the play: Lightning Breath.
What is lightning breathing?
In the manga, Lightning Breath is described as a series of techniques with fast movements and strong strikes. Those who practice this sword art must have strength in their legs, as Zenitsu mentions to Tanjiro in Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Breath of Lightning probably doesn’t have many poses, as only 6 are known, of which the good Zenitsu only controls one. Meanwhile, his teacher Jigoro Kuwajima and his “elder brother in training” Kaigaku are fully proficient in this art.
Although Lightning Breathing has a trick regarding the number of known poses, as the first three options come out based on the number of hits the user does. In this sense, the manga has a record of six and eight cuts plus Divine Speed.
Zenitsu’s development in Kimetsu no Yaiba
Right in the Pillar training arc in Kimetsu no Yaiba, Zenitsu reaches one of the final stages of the Hashira Trial. However, his training is interrupted by a letter from Jigoro declaring his suicide due to Kaigaku becoming a Supreme Moon.
Ready to die in the Endless Fortress, Zenitsu reveals the seventh Lightning Breath stance, which he developed during his travels as a demon hunter and training on the Pillars. Leaping from the void, Agatsuma cuts the neck of his brother, who has already become the High Moon and asserts himself as the master of his breath. Zenitsu, despite being a somewhat cowardly character, managed to become the best through training, as on several occasions he made it clear that he is very strong and the speed with which he performs attacks works against any type of demon, even if it is the Supreme Moon in the Kimetsu universe -but Yaiba.
