Zom 100: The Bucket List of The Dead is one of the seasonal anime set in the midst of the zombie apocalypse, and the story already gave its first unmistakable mention to Resident Evil fans during the anime’s fourth episode.
The fourth episode of the anime aired with a slight delay on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu, but that didn’t dampen the excitement of leaving us with this zombie anime that now pays homage to one of Resident Evil’s most iconic moments. 2: Remake.
It’s none other than a gas pipe driver eating a hamburger during the opening scenes of Resident Evil 2: Remake. This man is one of the first victims of the zombie infection that we see in the game, and his importance did not go unnoticed by the creators of Zom 100: The Bucket List of The Dead, who decided to wink at him.
As if there’s not enough evidence that this is the same Resident Evil character, behind him we can see one of the “zombie dogs” that are an iconic element in Capcom’s most famous horror (besides a scene identical to the beginning of RE2).
What do you think of this Resident Evil 2 reference in Zom 100? The anime is produced by the duo Bug Studio Films/SHAFT and currently consists of 4 episodes that you can watch on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu.
