On September 16, a new season for the Russian national team skaters begins at Moscow’s Megasport: traditionally, with test skates. On the first day, individual skating, pair skating and ice dancing athletes will present new short programs.
The headliners of the women’s card are Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Kamila Valieva and current Russian champion Sofya Akatieva. Evgeni Plushenko’s students will also take to the ice, and Eteri Tutberizde will lead a new pair of athletes – Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky joined her in the off-season. In ice dance we are waiting for the return of Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin, who missed the previous season due to their partner’s pregnancy.
