Anton Adarichev in his youth was considered a very promising footballer. From Naberezhnye Chelny, the boy moved to Kazan to study at the Rubin Academy, but he never reached the adult level. Because of his passion for sports, the young man ended up finding another outlet, letting himself be carried away by betting.
Unfortunately, the hobby turned into an addiction, which led to a real tragedy. In need of money, the former soccer player in the middle of a fight… killed his own father.
The athlete’s mother was also in danger.

The soccer player, who was addicted to gambling, had not been an athlete for several years at the time of the tragedy. After leaving Rubin, he temporarily moved to Kazan Smena, after which he gave up football and entered the university of the Russian University of Cooperation.
Former coaches and comrades have always noted that Anton was a calm and diligent guy. However, due to the dependence on fees, the young man began to change. The first wake-up call was the suspended sentence he received for stealing money from someone else’s bank account.
The athlete carefully concealed his gambling addiction, but soon his problems became apparent to the family. Without money, Adarichev could not stop and decided to … steal a television from his parents to take it to a pawnshop. Of course, the father noticed the loss, and when Anton returned home for the holidays, a scandal broke out in the house. During the fight, Anton unexpectedly pulled out a knife and hit his father several times. The wounds were incompatible with life – Valery died on the spot. Adarichev, 62, was deputy director of the KAMAZ Technological Complex.

At that time, the mother returned. She got it too: her son stabbed her with a knife, after which she took the family bank card and withdrew about 400 thousand rubles. Anton returned home, took his mother to the nearest hospital, and fled.
The traffic police noticed a car flying at high speed. Adarichev did not respond to demands to stop; soon the chase began. Suddenly the car stopped, but the athlete did not surrender to the authorities. The criminal’s forces were enough for two kilometers, after which he was finally detained.
At the trial, Adarichev did not deny his involvement in the event, but asked to be released during the investigation, which he refused. The defendant and his mother assured that the murder was not intentional and requested the assessment of an independent expert. Only in part was it possible to mitigate the sentence for the former soccer player: instead of the 18 years in prison that the prosecution requested, he received 13.
