Bjoerndalen spoke first. At a press conference in April 2016, he told reporters that he and Daria had been dating for a long time and were already expecting a baby. And on July 17 of the same year, the couple shared the first wedding photo.

Later, the two-time father (Bjoerndalen never stopped on a win, so this title fits him perfectly) told reporters about the condition of his mother and his baby.

“We are incredibly happy. Xenia is also looking forward to meeting her little sister. We don’t have a name for the girl yet. This is hard. We have many options. I guess we will spend the next few days choosing one of them,” shared Ole Einar, 49.
Considering that the Belarusian-Norwegian family named the first daughter by the Slavic name of Xenia, it can be assumed that now Bjoerndalen will insist on a beautiful Norwegian version.
Will the biathlete grow?
After the holidays in Minsk, where 36-year-old Daria gave birth for the second time, the whole family will return to Monaco – Ksyusha is already going to school there. Before that, she traveled a lot with her parents. She first rode with them through the World Cup stages, then she lived in China, when Domracheva and Bjoerndalen were coaching the local team. Now the family is no longer so mobile, and with a newborn baby and a schoolboy, it will fully settle in a European principality. And this seems to be quite suitable for a truly royal biathlon family.

By the way, since the birth of Ksyusha, fans have been discussing whether the son of Bjoerndalen and Domracheva will take up biathlon. Parents stated that they would not impose sports on the girl. But let us venture to suggest that with the advent of the second child, the chances that at least one of the girls will follow the example of mom and dad and still become a biathlete have increased significantly.
