London Arsenal have erected a lifetime memorial to former team manager Arsene Wenger at the home Emirates Stadium.

“In Wenger’s 22 years at the club, he has headed our team through a whopping 1,235 games and spent the most successful period in our history with us. He changed our identity. His understanding of his game changed us. He is the creator of the “modern Arsenal,” the Gunners said in a statement.

Wenger was in charge of Arsenal from 1996 to 2018. Under his leadership, the Londoners became English champions three times and won the British Cup and Super Cup seven times.
