The match “Siberian Snipers” – “Kuznetsk Bears” within the framework of the tournament in memory of AI Belosokhov in Novosibirsk was already the fourth due to the new arena, but it was he who became the most important – the KHL finally held tests. The public knew about them in advance: at the last open training, Siberian General Director Kirill Fastovsky announced a test match and at the same time revealed some secrets.

The beginning is more than normal. The announcer reminded the fans of the fact of the test match, so that falls or spilled coffee would not cause strong feelings. The “Siberian snipers” did not postpone for long and in the third minute Vyacheslav Matveichev scored the first goal against the “Kuznetsk bears”. The inspector followed his example, and a minute after the abandoned puck, arena employees rushed to clean up the ice, an imitation of blood. By the way, they did it very quickly, and the most difficult thing was to remove the shovel from the site, since it is larger than the door, and it was problematic to turn it over without spilling the snow (which was actually covered with “blood”).
At the end of the period, that is, two and a half minutes before the end (at that time the score was 2:1), one of the most interesting parts of the test began. A whistle blew, the inspector knocked on one of the largest windows… and time passed. The arena staff replaced the glass in 5 minutes and 11 seconds. Replacing glass is basically one of the most difficult tasks for arena employees, but fortunately for the same people, it rarely breaks. Thus ended the first period, although the end was seriously stretched.

The second period was remembered not only for three goals from the “Snipers” at once. I doubt the league and hockey as a whole could see anything more epic than an episode with a spilled tail in a game. The stolid inspector entered the field and poured glue on the ice. It took about two minutes for the crew to return the required whiteness to the ice. By the way, during the cleaning, the judges decided to check whether the puck crossed the goal line in one of the episodes. And therefore, immediately after the end of the purge, a goal plus one appeared on the Novosibirsk account.

The second most interesting thing in the test match is the evacuation of the player. The phenomenon is quite rare, like broken glass, so even the training march of the medical team on the ice is interesting to watch for an inexperienced amateur. The brigade reached the player in about 41 seconds, provided medical assistance, and taking into account even very serious injuries, in 1 minute 41 seconds, and transferred him to a stretcher and off the ice within a minute. In total, the evacuation lasted 3 minutes and 22 seconds. The role of the victim went to the seventh defender of the home team Vsevolod Tsevelev. But in the third half he had already returned to the game.

With the end of the match, the check did not end. The inspector called several Sniper players onto the ice and spilled the pucks. I placed the players in eight different positions (mainly faceoff spots in the mid zone and in the faceoff circles) and asked them to shoot on goal from there. Apparently, by doing so, the inspector checked the quality of the ice after the end of the game.

The match ended with a win for the Kuznetsk Bears – the Snipers won with a score of 6:1. By the way, although they have not lost in the new arena, even though they only played two games. And if the tests went well, and purely visually, then soon the arena will have full KHL matches, where Sibir can continue the tradition of his youth team.
