The next REN TV Fight Club tournament has ended in Balashikha. The main event of the evening pitted famous Russian wrestler Vyacheslav Datsik against Irishman Sean Turner.

Red Tarzan returned to battle after a serious period of inactivity. Last year, Datsik competed almost every month, but after the loss to Pyotr Romankevich at the end of October, Vyacheslav took a significant break. During this time he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense. Considerable downtime can be explained by the fact that Datsik found himself in an unpleasant situation. Earlier this year, Vyacheslav reported that he was bitten by a fighting dog. The wounds were quite serious, and of course there was no talk of preparation for the battles or the battles themselves. But now Datsik was ready to put on another show.

Vyacheslav’s opponent was initially supposed to be Alexander Emelianenko. The fight was even announced for April, but was later canceled. Although, of course, it must be said that many expected revenge. Datsik found another opponent – the experienced Irishman Sean Turner. Turner had a solid 12-4 record in professional boxing and even shared a ring with Filip Hrgovic in 2018. Here’s how Turner and Hrgovic parted ways: Philip could become the new world heavyweight champion next week and Sean is gone on tour in Russia. He already competed in the REN TV Fight Club tournament, losing to Kevin Johnson. By the way, Datsik also lost to the newly minted Russian, so he and Turner have something in common.
