Vault-Tec could have dropped the first bomb in 2077
In the world of Fallout, a major war broke out between the United States and China. It was believed that it was the global conflict that led to the exchange of nuclear attacks. Although some fans believed that the apocalypse had a different reason, it seems they were right.
The series finale showed a meeting at the Vault-Tec office, where corporate heads discussed opportunities for further growth of the corporation and “suffocating” any peace negotiations. They all benefited from the fear of the end of the world and could not allow the tension in the conflict to decrease. To eliminate competitors and make even more money, corporations seriously discussed the possibility of launching the first nuclear bomb, thus launching a deadly chain of explosions: after the first missile, all other countries would launch them.
However, it is important to note that only one of the options for the development of events was discussed at the meeting and there is no confirmation that in the end the first bomb was actually dropped by Vault-Tech.

Mr. House is one of the most important characters in Fallout: New Vegas. He predicted the apocalypse in advance and decided to at least partially protect his beloved city of Las Vegas from destruction. As a result, out of 77 missiles, only nine reached the city. After the war, House became president of the surviving part of Las Vegas and built an authoritarian state there.

Ghouls are ancient humans who have mutated due to extreme exposure to radiation. Some demons turned into mindless zombies, others retained their sanity. The games never explained why some didn’t go crazy.
The series made it clear that intelligent demons use certain radioactive vials and therefore maintain a normal state. But if there are no blisters left, they will quickly go crazy.
In Fallout games, the hero could also suffer strong irradiation and turn into a demon. There were different cases that could be cured; For example, he helped a rare cold drink.

The Enclave is a practically fascist organization that acted as villains in the second and third Fallout. In the games the group was defeated and since then no one has taken it seriously. In the series, it was revealed that the Enclave still exists. The scientist who placed an infinite energy reactor in his head escaped from this same organization. At the same time, before the escape, they showed the base of the Enclave, and active work was in full swing there.

Shady Sands is no more.
Shady Sands is a legendary place. We explored it in the first Fallout and heard a lot about it in Fallout: New Vegas. After all, it was the capital of the influential New California Republic (NCR).
Unfortunately, at the beginning of the series, Shady Sands was destroyed.
