“I am in shock”. Yuran’s emotional monologue after the KDK “verdict”

The Paris NN coach received a conditional disqualification for two matches and a one-year probationary period.

The topic of the week in Russian football is Sergei Yuran’s “possums” after his Pari NN match against Krasnodar (3-4) and the subsequent conditional disqualification for two matches with a 12-month trial period. But the coach himself does not take comfort in this convention at all. He considers that the penalty is disproportionate to the offense. In an interview with the Championship, Yuran explained his view of the situation. We present it in monologue format.

“I’m a little surprised by this whole story. They gave me a fine of 50 thousand, two suspended games of disqualification and one more year of probation – for what? For a bad word, thrown away by emotions? I admit I said it and I apologize for it. But it wasn’t even a call to someone personally! A parasitic word used as an interjection. Similarly, football players, in the heat of battle, sometimes say bad words off the field: should they be executed for this?

Imagine the situation: after a nervous game I go to the locker room. And the players are furious and, of course, the coaches too. At least we shouldn’t have lost against Krasnodar, but we could have won. In addition, we lost our main footballer, Kostya Maradishvili, due to a serious injury. Naturally, everyone is upset. After all, what is football? Emotions. But I didn’t throw them in the stadium, in the presence of women or children, but in the room under the stands. I just walked and talked to myself.

I understand that when disqualifications are made based on the records of RFU judges, delegates and inspectors, these are officials. But in my case there was none of this. Just a phone video, taken from somewhere far away. So now you can punish for any word. Or for a social media post.

I wonder if anyone else got a year of probation. In my opinion, no one. This is a precedent.

I asked our lawyer: is there such an article in the regulations? Shrug: No. But the CDC decided so. In this way, we encourage people who realize the hype around football. Now they will increase significantly. There is an official station, cameras, broadcasts. But it turns out that even in the sub-stand, near the locker room, neither the players nor the coaches are protected from such illegal filming. Isn’t this an invasion of personal space?

Whats Next? If someone doesn’t like something that was said at the press conference, will they give me a year?

I would like to apologize in advance to journalists: apparently now I will have to limit myself to minimal comments during quick interviews and press conferences. Literally two or three words: “Hello, the game is fine, bye.” Or: “The game is bad, goodbye.” I have a one-year suspended sentence. I no longer understand what is possible and what is not.

It is feared that they could now criticize any word and turn a conditional disqualification into an unconditional one. And I need to lead the team, be close to it. I can’t leave her without a coach.

I have spoken to management and would like to request changes to the regulations. There must be a clear line between permissible emotions and violation of regulations. “Living in the real world, where coaches are passionate about football and allow themselves emotions.”
