One of the most interesting transitions in this transfer market has ended. Midfielder Jorge Carrascal moved from CSKA to Dynamo. On August 27, the blue and whites posted a video on their Telegram channel in which a hooded man runs through Moscow at night, past the army athletics complex, to the Dynamo stadium. Later, it turns out that he is a 25-year-old Colombian national team player.
The player’s contract runs until the summer of 2027 with the option to extend for one more season. Carrascal has been playing for CSKA since 2022, in total he played 47 matches for the army team and scored seven goals, and also became the owner of the Russian Cup as part of the team.
FC Dynamo
Dynamo was introduced by Jorge Carrascal at his company store at GUM, along with another newcomer, Luis Chávez. This event was attended by a large number of journalists, among them the correspondent of “Soviet Sport” Nikita Plokhikh, who managed to communicate exclusively with the footballer.
– Can you tell us about your departure from CSKA? Were there reports that he was in conflict with coach Fedotov?
– I only have pleasant memories of CSKA. Everything remains in the past. As for Fedotov, thank you very much, I played a lot with him, no offense, just respect.
– Many people think that you are the footballer who should replace Zajaryan. Do you agree with these opinions?
– Zajaryan is a very good player, you could say one of the best in the league. Now he will play in the top championship and I’m happy for him. As for me, I can play in different positions. Including Arsene’s position. It all depends on how Marcel uses me. I can play for the “eight” as Zakharyan, or I can play for the “ten” as a second attacking striker. The national team also uses me in the band. So everything will depend on the coach’s opinion. I am ready to play in any position.
– A few weeks ago there was news that you could go to Spartak. Have you heard anything about it?
– I respect all the clubs, but I have not heard anything that I can go to Spartak. I am very happy to be at Dynamo. I don’t even want to think about other options. I am focused on working on my team.
FC Dynamo
– Now you moved to Dynamo, signed a contract for five years. Before that, you also lived for some time in Russia. Do you have any plans to get a Russian passport?
– I thought about getting Russian citizenship because I like the country; Russians are very hospitable. But now I don’t think about getting my Russian passport because I play for the Colombian team. I am focused on playing for Dynamo and the national team.
