In recent years, our country has become accustomed to the openly hostile attitude of Ukrainian athletes towards Russians. However, even against the background of this constant tension, incidents sometimes occur that cross all boundaries. One of these cases was the savage act of a footballer from Ukraine, who allowed himself to publicly abuse the Russian flag.
The player filmed the entire story on video.
“Went In The Trash”
In February 2023, the Ukrainian Lviv went to training camp in Turkey, staying at a local hotel. It was there that the defender of the Club, Alexei Dityatiev, staged a scandalous action by deciding to remove the Russian flag from the flagpole near the hotel. The footballer recorded this scene on video and published it on social networks.
– Very soon the Armed Forces of Ukraine will do this in all the occupied cities of our country. In the meantime, let’s start with Türkiye”, signed the player in the video.
The video immediately spread throughout the network, delighting part of the Ukrainian public: in the comments, many praised Alexei for his performance. Some subscribers wondered what the further fate of the Russian flag was – Dityatiev hastened to give a public answer:
“I lay down for a while next to the toilet and then I went to the trash,” wrote the footballer.
However, later Dityatiev, apparently, could not cope with the pressure that had fallen on him and closed the comments under the post. However, the local media continued to admire the defender’s performance:
“The symbols of a terrorist state have no place in the civilized world. This was demonstrated by the defender of “Lviv” Oleksiy Dityatiev, who found a use for a tricolor rag, they wrote on the Ukrainian portal “Sport.24tv”.

Russian law enforcement agencies did not tolerate this state of affairs. A few days after the madcap escapade, Alexander Bastrykin, chairman of the investigative committee, ordered an investigation into the incident. However, the investigation had no consequences, especially since it would be problematic to bring the Ukrainian footballer to justice in the current situation.
Shortly before the incident, there was an equally important scandal involving Russian and Ukrainian footballers in Turkey. Coincidentally, the Yaroslavl players “Shinnik” and the Transcarpathian “Minaj” settled in a hotel. The athletes could not get along – at some point a massive fight broke out between the teams.

Alexey Dityatiev is the son of the football player Alexei Arkadevich Dityatiev, who played in the lower leagues. He participated in the USSR youth team, but tragically died in 1994. Then the future player of “Lviv” was 5 years old.
Throughout his career, the defender has not been marked by great achievements on his home soil. The player’s first professional club was Energiya from Nova Kakhovka, after which he was invited to Krymteplitsa. In the 2012/13 season, Dityatiev became the team captain, but at the same time the team ceased to exist.
FC Krakow
From this moment the adventures of the defender began. The footballer changed several Ukrainian teams, after which he went to the Polish Krakow, where he spent 5 years and won the local cup. The player returned to his homeland in transit through “Aksu” from Kazakhstan and signed a contract with “Lvov” this year.
