The Rostovites won a resounding victory in the Russian Cup over the Urals. The hero of the match was winger Komarov.
“Rostov” continues to fight for the Russian Cup, having won a resounding victory in Yekaterinburg over “Ural” in the semi-finals of the Path of Regions.
Valery Karpin again changed almost the entire base for the cup match. Only central defender Sako remained in the starting eleven of the last round of the RPL match. Goncharenko tried to restore energy to his team with substitutions, but Rostov, inspired by the goal, controlled the match. The only mistake of the guests in this phase was failing in a quick attack by the locals, which ended with the fresh Dmitriev coming out one by one. But the winger crashed into the post. The Rostovites were lucky both in this episode and in their own standard 20 minutes from the end, when after a brilliant corner kick from Komarov himself, goalkeeper Mamin made a mistake at the start. Terentyev sent the ball into the Urals’ goal.
