In the lowlands of Russian football, a game occasionally happens that even the sworn brothers of thousands of similar deep British leagues never dreamed of. The scandal occurred in one of the Chelyabinsk regional leagues, when a footballer, dissatisfied with the dismissal of his brother, decided to engage in a natural battle with the main referee of the match.
In the 18th round of the second season of the “Northwestern League 8 × 8” on August 20 at the “Ski Base” during a football match in Chelyabinsk between the FC teams “Bazhova” and “Katren”, which are included in the “Northwestern Chelyabinsk League” a football player hit a black judge from Cameroon, Georges Maxim.
It is not known how this referee from exotic Africa ended up in Chelyabinsk, but he was lucky to find himself involved in a scandal immediately after removing the player who had played rather rudely before.
But for every Cameroonian, there is a relative who is not satisfied with such a decision. Unfortunately for Georges, he knocked out the brother of club football player Bazhov Telman Snjoyan. The fat Telman, whose build is more like a weightlifter than a football player, attacked the referee with his fists, but the African Maxim managed to hold off the opponent’s first power attack.
After that, to the surprise of the attacker, the Cameroonian himself actually challenged the rampaging player to a fight. As a result, a certain mixture of sambo and wrestling allowed Snjoyan to first lift, and then lay down the unfortunate guest from the Urals on the grass. So, the domestic similarity of MMA turned out to be more successful than Cameroonian kung fu, however, in the conditions of the regional football league.
According to the organizer of the football league, Sergei Leonchenko, the local disciplinary committee may ban Telman Snjoyan from playing in the league. Then the athlete who has confused football with martial arts will have time to fulfill his true wrestling fantasies. The time to practice techniques now will be a car and a small car. You can even show up at local fight clubs. Who knows, maybe another mixed martial arts star will emerge from this story.
Another league leader, Andrey Sobolev, had this to say:
– We do not support the manifestation of aggression in any form, but this is a men’s sport and anything can happen – professionals fight too. In the match “Spartak” – “Zenith” there was a massive fight. The main thing is that these emotions stay on the field and do not go further. In this case, he did. The participants in the incident understand the inadmissibility of such behavior. All other decisions will be made within current league regulations.
The Chelyabinsk Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that it received a statement about a fight at a ski base on the night of August 20.
