Lisa sees herself in the role of mentor, and rightly so. She can bring important trends to our figure skating.
Elizaveta Tuktamysheva continues to search for herself. After suspending her career, the athlete set out to find a business that would inspire her in the same way as figure skating. Lisa began to develop in the media: trying herself as a presenter, commentator and interviewer. But in the summer, the figure skater decided to return to the sport and try her hand at coaching. At Alexei Mishin’s training camp in Kislovodsk, Tuktamysheva takes on the role of a mentor: she works with children and helps Gleb Lutfullin practice programs. The figure skater admitted that she sees herself in the future as a coach and now she wants to understand how she will feel organically in this role.
It is clear that the final decision will depend only on Lisa’s inner feelings, but we can safely say that she has significant inclinations to become a truly great specialist who will bring new trends to the profession.
Firstly, Tuktamysheva has a cool school behind her, which she passed and continues to pass under the leadership of Mishin. Alexey Nikolaevich is an experienced coach who has trained more than one generation of great champions. He is not only a practitioner, but also a theorist of figure skating and the author of numerous books and scientific articles. He has a wealth of knowledge and is not shy about sharing it.
Mishin teaches coaching quite successfully: many of his former students have already become prominent specialists. Evgeni Plushenko, who distinguished himself by working with Alexandra Trusova, Alena Kostornaya and Sofia Muravyova, opened his own academy and trains skaters. Oleg Tataurov, who discovered the talent of Vladislav Dikidzhi, is developing as a coach. Alexey Urmanov, Artur Gachinsky and Katarina Gerboldt work with figure skaters. Tuktamysheva has every chance to continue on this list. Alexey Nikolaevich himself is very interested in Lisa becoming a successful trainer; She promised to do everything she could to achieve it. So Tuktamysheva has the best possible teacher.

Secondly, Lisa is a very wise and aware person. Alexei Mishin gave a lot to the skater not only in terms of sports, but also in terms of life experience. Tuktamysheva never reacted sharply to failures, she always looked at them philosophically and moved on. She will be an excellent mentor for figure skaters, who will be able to instill in them a healthy attitude towards the sport without harm to the psyche. Tuktamysheva has always spoken out strongly against violent methods of educating athletes. She is able to introduce important trends into our figure skating, based on the child’s desire and motivation to achieve results, and not on harsh treatment and fear.
“I am very sad and angry because children who play sports can encounter violence. I have never encountered this, but I know from many that the problem exists. Not only in gymnastics, but also in figure skating, there are coaches and parents who are ready to do anything for the sake of results and use unethical methods, in my opinion. Because we have raised the bar so high in sports, it may seem that it is no longer possible to achieve high results only with a child’s positive attitude and desire. But I want to believe that this is not the case and find a middle ground. So that a child can ride and not be afraid of being scolded by a coach or her parents. Fear is a strong emotion, you can show your maximum in it. When I was a child, I had a strict coach; I could work very hard with fear. But doing everything about it is wrong. I don’t want children to feel oppressed, to do the impossible so they don’t get touched,” Tuktamysheva said in an interview with Sport Express.

Thirdly, Tuktamysheva loves figure skating very much. This is her life’s work, in which she never stops investing. Lisa has always been distinguished by her desire for development, so in coaching she will improve and move forward. And her enthusiasm will encourage people around her and motivate them to achieve great things.
