Daniil missed Miomir Kecmanovic and the Russian’s game on clay remains impressive.
The first lap at Roland Garros, which started in Paris, definitely cannot be considered an overtaking lap for Daniil Medvedev. The tenacious German Dominik Köpfer managed to take a set from the Russian and generally looked good, but the superior class of the fifth racket in the world (the gap behind Alexander Zverev is 10 points) could not help but take effect. And after the match, Daniil once again demonstrated his excellent knowledge of the French language.

It’s strange how he made it through the first lap.
In the next round, a satisfied and invigorated Medvedev will face the Czech Makhach or the Argentine Navone. In any case, it is fantastic that today Daniil had the first start on the indoor court and the Russian athlete practically did not make any effort to advance to the next round. Now you can rest easy and prepare for more difficult fights.
