The UFC’s top Chinese fighter, Yadong Song, went on the air yesterday to tell a grisly story about how he and a friend were the victims of an armed robbery. Fortunately, everything worked out, but the emotions that they had to experience are clearly not pleasant.
“For the first time in my life, I was held at gunpoint. My friend and I arrived at a gas station and there were already four black men standing there. They didn’t follow us, they were already there waiting for the victim. They were hooded, their car license plates were hidden. They demanded to give money, wallets, jewelry and beat my friend with a pistol grip. They needed money, they didn’t want to kill us,” said the Chinese fighter.
In the course of the story, Yadong Song also admitted that he was not completely sober, but at the same time in a completely sane state, and also said something important: “I am very happy that I survived with my friend and I can tell this story. And I would advise anyone who finds themselves in a situation like that to give them whatever they ask for. You either give them your money or you’re screwed.”
Yadong’s message is absolutely correct. It’s best not to put his life and the lives of his loved ones in additional danger by trying to be a hero. Financial losses are the best he can do in such a situation. Money and jewelry are a thing of the past. The main thing is that there is someone to do everything.
