Thanks to a third-round victory over Hungarian Marton Fucovich, 27-year-old Daniil Medvedev reached the fourth round of the Grand Slam tournament for the first time this season, repeating his career-high at Wimbledon at the same time. In the English capital, Daniel had only reached this stage once. This happened in 2021, when in a two-day matchup he finally lost to the Pole Hubert Hurkach. Now the Russian has a great chance to reach the quarterfinals of the English Slam for the first time in his career.

Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, 28, entered the second week of the Grand Slam tournament for the first time. Previously, her best result in the Hulls was the third round. To reach the quarterfinals for the first time in her career, Ekaterina needs to make a splash and knock out Belarusian Arina Sobolenko in the fight, who in the previous round left no chance to another Russian woman, Anna Blinkova.

Intrigue: Will Elena Rybakina continue her successful title defense?
The Kazakhstan representative became the first reigning Wimbledon champion since 2016, having exited in the second week. Seven years ago, it was done by American Serena Williams, who finally completed that tournament with a final victory. In 2023, Elena Rybakina tries to repeat the path of Williams and defend the title of Wimbledon champion. The new obstacle for her on this path is the strong Brazilian Beatriz Haddad-Maya, who reached the Roland Garros semifinals a month ago.

The 20-year-old Spanish Carlos Alcaraz appears in the capital of England in the status of the first racket in the world. In the fourth round, Carlos awaits a test against Matteo Berrettini. The 27-year-old Italian was not seeded at Wimbledon, but that does not promise an easy path for Carlos. In the English capital, Mirra already has six wins in a row, having achieved the best result of her career on TBSh. Her new opponent is the winner of seven WTA titles, the American Madison Keys.
