The day before, Moscow hosted the Open Water water sports festival for the third time. Within its framework, the Russian motor boating championship and high jump competitions were held.

The festival, organized by the Department of Sports of the city of Moscow and timed to coincide with the celebration of the centenary of Moscow sports, was attended by more than 5,000 people.

The festival participants were the strongest and most titled athletes from different parts of the world. Among them are two-time Russian diving champion Artem Silchenko, Ivan Kasymov and Igor Semashko, who ultimately won.

The Rowing Canal also hosted the Russian motorized water sports championship: aquabike, motosurfing and hydroflying. Athletes between the ages of 8 and 14 and adults participated in the competition.

As part of the festival program, a unique costumed water smoke show was also held using flyboards and jet skis.
