The board of directors of Acciona Energía has agreed to carry out a temporary program to repurchase its own shares on 4,938,759 titles, which represent 1.5% of the company’s capital and around 173 million euros, with a deadline on August 29, 2024.
As reported by the energy company of the Acciona group to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the shares will be purchased at market price, without exceeding in any case the price of the last independent operation or the highest offer at that time. . .
Regarding volume, it will not buy more than 25% of the average daily volume of the shares in the trading center where the purchase is made in the 20 trading sessions prior to the acquisition date, a limit that will apply to the entire repurchase program. The company’s objective with this operation is to reduce capital through the redemption of up to a maximum of 4,488,759 shares, representing approximately 1.36% of capital, with the prior agreement of the general shareholders’ meeting.
A stock market of up to 450,000 shares.
Likewise, it will also serve to create a stock market of up to a maximum of 450,000 shares, representing approximately 0.14% of the capital, to comply with the plans for the delivery of shares to executive directors, managers and employees of the group.
The management of the recovery program has been entrusted to Bestinver Sociedad de Valores, the investment manager of the company group, as it defends in its statement to the market.
