Russian gymnast Nikita Nagorny, 26, who won Olympic Games gold in the team all-around in 2021, has announced the possible end of her sports career.
“Now there will be a bit of demotivation on my part, but this is a cry from the heart. Recently, for the first time, I caught a feeling of uselessness in the gym … I always courageously promised myself to decide when to end my professional career! And, if I’m not mistaken, now for the first time I feel this sign. Somewhere nearby, a new stage of my life is calling… However, now I don’t understand what to do with it! And emotionally too,” Nagorny wrote on his Telegram channel.
Recall that Nikita Nagorny is a three-time world champion and an eight-time European champion in artistic gymnastics. At the 2020 Olympics, she won bronze medals in the individual all-around and crossbar, and also won gold in the team all-around.
